About Us: At Redbeck, animals have always been part of the family.

We’re not new to this. We’ve lived with animals for as long as we can remember, from giant tortoises to chinchillas, rabbits to birds, dogs to cats. Not just one or two, but many. Our home has always been shared with creatures great and small.

Over the years, that experience has become something deeper, an instinct for care, a knowledge you don’t get from books. It’s taught us how to recognise subtle signs, create safe environments, and understand the individual needs of every animal.

Redbeck Rabbit Boarding was built from that lifetime of care. It’s not just a business. It’s the natural result of decades living alongside the animals we love.

So when you trust us with your pet, you’re placing them with people who genuinely understand what it means to care, because we’ve been doing it our whole lives.

The Redbeck Ethos

We’re Claudia and Martin, a couple with a lifelong love of animals, and the hands-on experience to prove it. Redbeck Rabbit Boarding is more than a business. It’s our life’s work.

Between us, we’ve cared for rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hamsters, rats, reptiles, birds, dogs, cats and a few strays who never left. Over the years, that love became something deeper: a responsibility. A drive to offer better standards of care. A place where animals aren’t just boarded they’re understood.

Claudia, the founder and full-time owner, is at the heart of Redbeck. Her quiet patience, deep knowledge of animal behaviour, and unwavering commitment to welfare are what make this place special. She knows that no two animals are alike and she treats each one as an individual.

At Redbeck, we welcome all kinds young or old, bold or shy, healthy or with extra needs. Every enclosure and routine is shaped to suit the animal, not the other way around. We understand that small pets aren’t simple. They’re complex, sensitive, and full of personality. That’s what makes them so special.

Comfort, Calm, and Carrots

Redbeck sits behind our home, in a large private garden, quiet, secure, and purpose-built for small animals. Each guest gets fresh air, dry shelter, and space to stretch. No noise, no stress, and no overcrowding.

Feeding is tailored to each animal. All diets are included in the boarding price and we only use what we’d feed our own:

• High-grade hay in unlimited supply
• Excel, Science Selective plets and only the best mixe dried forage
• Fresh vegetables, fruits and healthy treats with the odd indulgence if approved
